Welcome!
CRyptonite Robotics is a team from Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, TX, that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The FIRST program provides an opportunity for our high school students to work collaboratively with engineers to design and build sophisticated robots to compete against teams throughout the US, and several other countries. The program encourages the development of technical, analytical and problem solving skills. Students will learn to take a complex task and use critical thinking and creativity to overcome challenges. Although our team aspires to win a national division, the goal of the team is student learning, growth, and leadership. Many students join the team with little or no knowledge of how to build a robot or to use tools. They leave the program often knowing more than some of the mentors, and with a better foundation of teamwork, project management, and leadership.
Mission Statement
While continually retaining, refining, and improving the widely recognizable name and image it possesses, CRyptonite Robotics seeks to serve as a platform for intellectual growth in the field of science and technology and in leadership, by providing students with an opportunity to work with engineers, and persistently pushing students to expand their level of community outreach.Temporary News
